| StreamBase offers a comprehensive training and certification program for Event Processing Developers.
StreamBase
Systems' certification program helps Complex Event Processing developers differentiate themselves in the marketplace by
providing them with the knowledge and skills required to successfully
build event-driven applications using the StreamBase EventFlow
programming language.
The StreamBase Certification Program enables StreamBase, its
partners and its customers to recruit developers who have a solid
foundation and understanding in event processing architecture and
design. For both new and experienced developers, becoming certified in
StreamBase validates their skills and demonstrates proficiency in the
latest event processing technology.
The
StreamBase Certification Program combines valuable learning experience
and hands-on practice. The course will be offered in Chicago, London,
New York, São Paulo and Toronto.
After selection, workshop training and examination developers can attain Level 1: Certified Developer.
In the training course, you will
learn StreamSQL EventFlow, the emerging standard for unifying real-time
and historical data. StreamSQL EventFlow is a graphically-based
next-generation programming language that extends the standard SQL query
model and operators to allow processing of real-time and historical
data streams. This course employs frequent, hands-on LABS with
documented solutions and complete explanations to maximize comprehension
and knowledge retention.
Once you complete the training and workshop, you'll be able to build high-performance real-time
applications and have the practical experience required to get a working
prototype up and running within a week.
- Introduction to StreamBase and Complex Event Processing (CEP).
- Working with StreamBase Studio, a sophisticated IDE for authoring, testing, and debugging applications
- Creating and reading StreamSQL Event Flow application diagrams
- Working with StreamBase operators, expression language, data constructs
- Integrating with external data sources
- Embedded Adapters and External Adapters, such as ones for Reuters, TIBCO, and Microsoft Excel
- StreamBase configuration parameters, installation, licensing
Richard Tibbetts, CTO discusses how long it takes to get up to speed with StreamBase.
After spending one year working on CEP projects with customers Level 1 developers can apply for "Master Developer" status. This will involve a review of CEP projects completed during the last 12 months. After an additional verbal examination by heads of department at StreamBase "Master Developer" status will be awarded. This person would then be in a position ready to lead a team of StreamBase developers as a senior event processing architect.
